Who are we?
Your Personal Information
We will treat all your submitted information as private and confidential, except where permitted by law or where the disclosure is made at your request or with your consent in relation to arranging your loan or mortgage.
We will store the information about you on a secure server and in other records. We will only use this information for the purposes registered under the Data Protection Act 1998, this may include sharing your information with other selected companies.
Unless you state otherwise, we may refer your application by letter, e-mail or fax to offer other products which we feel may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to be contacted by any other companies we select for you, please write to the above address, or e-mail your name and address (subject: remove data) to email@example.com
Information Collection and Use
We may request information from you on our application form. A user must provide contact information (such as name, email address, home address etc) and in some cases, financial information (such as loan amounts, outstanding credit balances etc). Your information is used in consideration of your loan or mortgage application. Your application will be passed to Fluent Money or any other partner company for processing and underwriting.
We or any company we refer your application to, may make searches about you with credit reference agencies who will supply credit information, as well as information from the Electoral Register. The agencies will record details of the search whether or not this application proceeds.
However, we will only perform a 'soft search' which will not affect your credit rating. If you decide to proceed with one of the loan options offered, then an 'full application search' will be performed. This will only be done on behalf of the lender once we have received your signed application form from you. Application searches may affect your credit score as they are used by lenders when deciding whether to lend you money.
We may use credit-scoring methods to assess your application and to verify your identity. Other companies may use the record of searches and any other information provided to the agencies if credit decisions are made about you, or other members of your household or finance associates. This information may also be used for debt tracing and the prevention of money laundering as well as the management of your account.
By stating a financial association with another party, you are also declaring that:
Information held about you by the credit reference agencies may already be linked to records relating to one or more of your partners. For the purposes of this application you may be treated as financially linked.
We have formal complaints procedures to ensure that your complaint is handled quickly, fairly and efficiently; a leaflet with details of this process is available on request.
On receipt of your complaint (whether received by telephone, letter, e-mail or fax) the matters raised will be investigated by an independent Complaint Handler within the company.
If we are unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction you may have the right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Our staff will assist you with this.
